Yes, I admit it: even if I travel often, even if I’m a destination wedding photographer. But this was my first time in America and the first time for a wedding shooting in New York!
And it was a wonderful journey, both because I allowed myself to visit the city for a few days, and because it was a great pleasure to be the photographer of Darryl and Sandor.
Undoubtedly one of the most fun and cheerful couples I have ever photographed! She, the bride, is a girl with a strong character and original tastes. She chose no heels, but wonderful Kate Spade on her feet. And even the choice of location for their wedding day has reflected the originality of this couple.
They choose a winery in the heart of Brooklyn: the magical Brooklyn Winery. This marvelous New York wedding venue has been perfectly furnished for the wedding day, welcoming the newlyweds in a warm and familiar atmosphere. In the presence of their friends and their loved ones, the couple got married in an atmosphere of absolute tenderness. I loved the floral and natural elements that crowned the walls of the Winery, just as I loved the mise en place.
The lights, and every single detail, reflected a warm and welcoming atmosphere, just like the characteristics of my spouses. I especially loved how the whole environment of this wedding in Brooklyn was designed to enhance the same time simplicity combined with a touch of measured elegance.
Two characteristics, in a marriage, that if they go arm in arm, give the event a wonderful and indelible memory. And besides, here’s what I loved most about this Wedding in New York: walking with my spouses (this almost never happens in Italy!) in the metropolitan streets. Along with the streets of Brooklyn, up to a small park, near the venue, overlooking the skyline of Manhattan. An intimate and perfect place to frame this couple. A wedding shoot describing their life together in New York as a husband and wife, which was just starting. A photoshoot on the edge of the Hudson River, with the most beautiful backdrop that New York can give away.
